Art Fiber Systems GmbH (AFS) is proud to announce our official membership in the European Photonics Industry Consortium (EPIC). This significant milestone was celebrated this week at the EPIC AGM & Summit in Juan-les-Pins, France, where our Co-founder and CEO, Dr. Viacheslav Artyushenko, was formally welcomed by EPIC General Director Carlos Lee and EPIC CEO Ulrike Helfferich.
This new membership builds upon a profound industry legacy. Dr. Artyushenko founded art photonics GmbH (AP) in Berlin in 1998 and guided the company as President and CEO until 2024, culminating in its successful acquisition by the Nynomic Group. Following AP’s more than 20 years of dedicated EPIC membership, AFS and AP now stand together as the first pair of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to essentially join this esteemed association twice.
To understand the powerful synergy between the two companies, it is important to highlight their distinct, complementary missions within the photonics ecosystem:
- Art Fiber Systems (AFS) operates as an advanced system integrator. Our primary focus is on engineering and building custom spectroscopy solutions tailored for Process Analytical Technology (PAT) and broader system applications.
- art photonics GmbH (AP) continues its established role as the industry leader in specialty fiber optic solutions. AP provides cutting-edge technologies covering the broadest spectral range from UV to Mid-IR (0.2 to 17µm), engineered specifically for harsh environments across biopharma, industrial process control, and advanced laboratory settings.
We look forward to unlocking new collaborative opportunities within EPIC’s vast network of over 800 members, uniting to drive innovation and lead the photonics industry across Europe and worldwide.
It was a truly proud moment for our team to see the logos of AFS and AP displayed side-by-side on the massive EPIC member network banner. We are excited for this next chapter and the future of flexible light solutions.
